Cereal spirit flavoured with juniper berries, older than the gin it fathered. A shared heritage: two of its three geographical indications are cross-border, between France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
The thing to remember
Genièvre is the only spirit under a geographical indication in the Hauts-de-France, and one of the few European spirits heritages explicitly shared between several states.
